Queensland Minister for Education and Industrial Relations Grace Grace announced this morning that Queensland school facilities will be opening up for hire by community groups from Term 3. Individual school principals have the final decision on whether to hire their facilities or not. The health and safety of the school community remains the number one priority and Principals will be working with groups to ensure they meet COVID safe operating requirements.
Clubs are required to have insurance in place prior to the hire of school facilities.
All QFA clubs are required to have their COVID Safe Plan approved prior to the resumption of activities and all club coaches, officials and volunteers are required to have completed and submitted their COVID Safe Infection Control training certificates prior to the resumption of club activities.
