QFA is planning expanded training opportunities over the coming months.

Firstly, we are close to finalising the details for a training camp July 1-3 at Yeronga. If you would like to register your interest, you can complete this survey. The camp was initially conceived for athletes planning to head to the Australian Youth and Cadet championships, but has been expanded to include development fencers and pentathletes.

We are also planning our squad activities for the next school term. Development Squad is now open for registrations, this squad will run from 2-4pm on Saturday afternoons in school term 3. The squad is designed for fencers who are looking to progress from school and beginner club fencing, to develop their skills so that they may be more engaged in club fencing and possbily start state level competition. The squad is now open to all ages. Note that there will be additional personalised coaching during squads for female participants which is funded by a Queensland Government Active Women and Girls grant.

Block 3 State Epee squad invites will be send out shortly. We are also interested in adding foil and sabre to the state squad program. Please email me to express your interest in a foil or sabre state squad.
