2022 Season Club Registration, Affiliation and Insurance
To ensure the continued coverage by the Australian Fencing Federation insurance policy and support and marketing services provided by the Queensland Fencing Association, clubs are to complete the attached affiliation form and pay the associated fee by 30th January 2022..
Why affiliate with QFA?
Insurance
The primary benefit of registering your club with QFA is coverage for your club activities under the Australian Fencing Federation insurance policy. The insurance policy provides cover to affiliated clubs and state association members participating in sanctioned events for:
● Public Liability $20,000,000
● Professional Indemnity $5,000,000
Full details of the policy can be found at the insurer’s website. A certificate of insurance currency under the Australian Fencing Federation policy (compulsory for clubs operating out of school facilities in Qld and other venues where clubs operate at the beginning of each calendar year) will only be provided to clubs affiliated with QFA.
Promotion
As the peak representative body for fencing in Queensland, QFA is the first port of call for schools, recreational organisations and individuals interested in learning more about the sport. In recent years there has been a surge in interest in fencing coaching services and learn-to-fence courses. QFA provides exposure for your club to a broad audience by listing your details on its website and direct referrals to clubs. In addition to fielding public enquiries, QFA distributes brochures with links to registered clubs at community events held throughout the year. When affiliating with QFA, we ask that clubs ensure that all contact details are up to date, as well as training locations and times.
Support
QFA also acts as a clearing house for grant opportunities and regulatory issues impacting on fencing, communicating with clubs via email and providing assistance with coaching and equipment. In order for your club to take advantage of QFA support, it’s important you are registered and the club details we hold for you are current.
A copy of the Club registration and insurance form is attached below and should be returned to the secretary@qfa.org.au by no later than 30 January 2022 to ensure continued affiliation with QFA and coverage under the national insurance scheme. Clubs who have not returned the form and paid for registration will not be able to access the level 1 option after this date.
Clubs with outstanding fees may not be affiliated or insured until all fees have been paid.
