QFA Open Circuit 3

Event information
The third round of the state open circuit will be held at Yeronga on Saturday 11 September 2021. Further details of the event will be supplied closer to the date when COVID restrictions for that time are known.
All fencers intending to compete in this competition MUST register through the event link. No walkins will be accepted on the day.
All fencers are required to be Junior or Senior Members of the Queensland Fencing Association in order to enter.
All Veteran Fencers (Ages 40+ in 2019) will also receive QFA Veteran Ranking Points from the competition - the Veteran Results will be extracted from the Open Competition rather than being a separate event.
To compete in multiple events, please register for each individually. Events will not be held up for fencers who have entered multiple weapons.
All partipants in the first event are expected to assist with setup and pack down of the venue.

Men's Epee - 8.30 am
Women's Epee - 9:00 am
Women's Foil - 11.00 am
Men's Foil - 11:30 am
Women's Sabre - 2.00 pm
Men's Sabre - 1.30 pm

**Competitors will be expected to referee poules. No additional referees will be used for this event. Referees will be sourced from the poule of competitors.
Fencers need to be there at least 30 minutes before the start time to get ready. Competitions are fenced using full electric equipment, including conductive foil masks. Medallists will need a club tracksuit jacket or shirt or fencing whites for presentations.
The following COVID measures are in place for this event:

All equipment must be disinfected prior to and after the competition. This particularly applies to masks, gloves, breastplates, groin protection, and bodywires.

No spectators will be allowed at the event.

All fencers and officials must register at the door using the Check In Qld app.

No non-essential people at the event (only competitors, DT, and SCD)

No use of the bubblers or other shared water sources. QFA has a drinks vending machine in the office for the purchase of drinks and chocolates.

All fencers are to thoroughly wash or sanitise their hands frequently.

Fencers will be required to physically distance when not on the piste.

There will not be a canteen.

Any person who has been overseas in the past 14 days, is waiting for test results, is subject to self-isolation conditions is not allowed at the venue.

Immunocompromised fencers should reconsider whether it is in their own health interests to compete and this decision should be made with relevant medical consultation.

Anyone showing any symptoms of the virus are not to attend (even if it just turns out to be a head cold).

Anyone who attends the event unwell will be removed.
