Further details of the event will be supplied closer to the date when COVID restrictions for that time are known. The format of this event may be subject to changes at short notice once indoor sport restrictions are known.
QFA will be hosting the first round of the Junior (U20) fencing circuit at Yeronga on Saturday 26 March 2022. Fencers must be fully registered Junior or Senior members of QFA in order to enter this event.
All fencers intending to compete in this competition MUST register through the event link. No walk-ins will be accepted on the day.
All participants are expected to assist with setup and pack down of the venue.
All fencers are required to be ready, with their own equipment, no later than 30mins prior to their nominated event.
Events will not be held up for fencers who arrive late or who have entered multiple events.

Fencers are required to be ready for check-in 30mins prior to the start time.
NOTE: The event may start immediately following the close of check-in.

The following COVID measures are enforced for this event:
- All participants and officials must be vaccinated
- Infection control masks may be required to be worn at this event. Fencers are only allowed to remove the mask to bout once they are on the piste and then must put the mask back on immediately after stepping off the piste. All other officials at the event must wear a mask at all times.
- All equipment must be disinfected prior to and after the competition. This particularly applies to masks, gloves, breastplates, groin protection, and bodywires.
- No spectators will be allowed at the event.
- All fencers and officials must register at the door using the Check In Qld app.
- No non-essential people at the event (only competitors, DT, and SCD)
- No use of the bubblers or other shared water sources. QFA has a drinks vending machine in the office for the purchase of drinks and chocolates.
- All fencers are to thoroughly wash or sanitise their hands frequently.
- Fencers will be required to social distance when not on the piste.
- There will not be a canteen.
- Any person who has been overseas or a designated hotspot or exposure site, in the past 14 days, is waiting for test results, is subject to self-isolation conditions is not allowed at the venue.
- Immunocompromised fencers should reconsider whether it is in their own health interests to compete and this decision should be made with relevant medical consultation.
- Anyone showing any symptoms of the virus are not to attend (even if it just turns out to be a head cold).
- Anyone who attends the event unwell will be removed.
Further measures may be added/removed closer to the event subject to state or federal government requirements.
QFA reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice should the situation warrant such action.
