Blue Card made easy

Working with Children

Are you a regular volunteer for QFA, helping to run tournaments, refereeing or participating on our interstate fencing tour groups? If you answered yes then you might need to complete a Working With Children Check under Queensland's Blue Card system.

Note, if you are a volunteer parent and your child is receiving the service you are providing you do not need to have a Blue Card.

Gold Coast Regional Friendly Fencing Event

Gold Coast 2

QFA is running a free fencing event in partnership with Gold Coast Fencers. This is an epee only competition with separate events for juniors (up to 14 years) and seniors (15 years and above). It's a friendly comp with free pizza provided. The catch? All fencers are expected to help with setup, packdown and refereeing. Scholarship Program 2018

Europe tour croppedThe Queensland Fencing Association recognises the contribution made by its competitive fencers to inspiring future generations of athletes and strengthening the skills base in clubs and state squad programs. To assist these members meet the costs associated with competing and developing their skills, a range of scholarships are offered each calendar year.

2017 Queensland State Championships

State Champs 2017

The 2017 Queensland Open and Veteran State Championships will be held on Saturday 11 November, at Yeronga SHS, Brisbane.

Entry to each event is $40.00 and should be made through the online payment system. Entries made by Wednesday, 8 November have a discounted price of $30.00. All fencers will need to be members of the Queensland Fencing Association in order to register (although Interstate or International competitors are welcome - please contact us to register).
